Build-a-player career simulators
The original GoatLab format. A reel of real players spins; you stop it, take the player's rating into one attribute slot, repeat until every slot is full, then simulate the whole career. Your build decides the stats, the awards and the Hall of Fame verdict.

GOAT Squad (roguelike roster builder)
Every roster spot spins at once like a slot machine. Hit STOP, lock one player, respin the rest, repeat until you have a full lineup. Then survive the Gauntlet: a run of the greatest teams ever, ending with an all-time boss. One life. Shops and relics between rounds. A daily mode gives everyone the same reels.

1v1 Face Off (live multiplayer)
Matchmake against a real opponent, build at the same time, best build wins. Guests can play; signed-in players get a rating.

Which game should I start with?
- You want the deepest game: Build a Baller. Biggest player pool, most polished career sim, NBA 2K export.
- You want something you can't put down: GOAT Squad. Players average around 40 minutes per session in it, the highest on the site.
- You have five minutes: any game's daily challenge. One attempt, shared leaderboard.
- You want to play a friend: Basketball Face Off.
Questions people ask
How many games does GoatLab have?
Twenty-six as of August 2026: 12 build-a-player career sims, 6 GOAT Squad editions, 4 Franchise modes and 4 Face Off modes, plus the Ranks page. More sports are in the works.
Are all GoatLab games free?
Yes. Every game is free in the browser with no download. Optional extras (cosmetics, a season pass, an ad-free option) exist, but nothing in the games is locked behind payment.
Do the games work on a phone or a school Chromebook?
Yes. Everything runs in a normal browser on iPhone, Android, iPad, Chromebook, Mac and Windows. There is also an iOS app on the App Store.
Are the players real?
Yes. Each sport uses real athletes with ratings derived from real data (for example NBA 2K-style ratings for basketball and Madden-style ratings for football), refreshed regularly, plus legends and special Prime cards.
